Laser Shaft Alignment

Easy-Laser® has created an expandable range of laser shaft alignment tools, so that customers can choose the laser alignment system the meets their needs.  The general idea behind all of the systems is “simplicity for the user.”  The laser shaft alignment systems are: D450, D505, and D525.

The D450 is a basic laser shaft alignment system with the performance and potential for expansion to the more advanced D505 and D525 systems.  The D450 includes programs for horizontal laser shaft alignment and soft foot.  To gain more advanced features, this system can be upgraded to the D505 or D525.

The D505 has programs and functions for all laser alignment needs for rotating equipment.  This system includes the EasyTurn™ program, which allows alignment with as little as 40 degree rotation of the shaft.  Additional applications beyond horizontal laser shaft alignment and soft foot include vertical laser shaft alignment, flange mounted and cardan-shaft coupled machine alignement, and machine train alignment (up to 10 machines in line).

The D525 provides the user with a complete laser alignment measurement system.  All of the programs for rotating equipment included with the D505 are built into the D525, plus all programs for geometrical measurements.  This is the most versatile measuring system, allowing both laser shaft alignment and laser geometrical measurements, plus connection to the BTA Digital sheave/pulley alignment system.

The results from all of these laser alignment systems can be recorded in a print-out, saved in the display unit, or downloaded to a PC.  This versatility allows plants to document alignment results, which can be useful in future troubleshooting efforts.

These laser shaft alignment systems can be further customized with a wide range of accessories such as a vibration probe, so that field mechanics can check vibration when the equipment is returned to service.  Multiple fixtures are available to fit machinery with restrictive or unique geometry.  Plus, these systems can be configured for special needs in the wind power generation industry, marine industry, and many other unique applications.  Call IndustryUptime today for a consultation.
